This car sat under a carport in eastern Kentucky for at least 10 years. It was purchased at the estate sale after the widow passed and it was too nice of a car for me to let it go to the scrap yard. I poured a little gas down the carburetor (yes it is carburetor car) and a good battery and it would fire right up. I did all the mechanical repairs it needed and now it needs painted and a new vinyl top to complete the car and I don't have a good paint booth and no one in the family has any interest in it. My wife hates to drive it so there you go. Here is a partial list of all I have done to it: New tires, New Brakes including new wheel cylinders and calipers, the anti lock would not release one of the front wheels so I removed it since a rebuilt one was $500. I just connected the lines to bypass the anti lock unit and it brakes fine. I do have the unit if you would want to have it rebuilt and reinstall it. Complete fuel system replace/overhaul, new tank, pump, lines, and carb rebuilt. Runs great now, 22 mpg highway. New water pump, all new belts, New A/C compressor, nice cold air now. New headliner installed by professional upholstery shop, real nice job. If the car does not sale I will have them replace the vinyl top. The interior is in excellent shape, would say its an 8 out of 10 or higher but I am not a real car show kind of guy. I don't think car has ever been in even the slightest fender bender, all of the plastic under the car is totally intact, nothing is broken or out of place. I have not been driving it much trying to stay under 70000 but if it doesn't sell I am just going to drive my money out of it as an old caddy. I would like see it painted and made into a Sunday driver but I don't really have good place to park it and I already have enough vehicles to insure and license. Also car will need the plastic trim on the rear fenders and around the license plate, these can be found on line easily, all of the plastic under the car is what I mentioned was intact. On the front left near the headlight a piece of the chrome looks like it has been hit with a rock, you can see it in the photos. One of the rear doors drags when you open It does not appear to have been sprung in any way but I think it is the foam rubber has swelled up some and creates a suction that you have to break.
