I am selling my 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. I recently found this "barn Find" that has been sitting since 1981. I have rebuilt the carburetor, replaced the plugs, wires, and the distributor assy in order to bring the 289 V-8 pony engine back to life. I have too many other projects, and didn't need this one, but couldn't let it go. I think the thrill of finding a car like this and trailering it home is half the joy!! Anyhow, the previous owner was the 2nd owner and parked it in 1981 after graduating High School. His plans were to restore it, but never made the time. As the pics show, the car is in need of a full restoration. What I like about the car is that it is fully intact. The car is all original with the exception of the front grill being replaced with a 66, as wellas the rear seat. I do have the original 65 that goes with it. No hidden issues, The car needs all of the usual sheet metal, floor pans, trunk, inner rockers, torque boxes, and cost wise, new doors, hood, and deck lid, (labor to prep vs replacement parts) much cheaper to replace. The hood, doors, and deck lid are not rusted thru, your choice. FYI, the damage to the front valance was done when I removed the car off from the trailer. Previous to that, the car was perfectly straight w/o panel damage. I'm selling for a bit less than what I have into it only because I need the room with winter fast approaching.
