Up for sale is my 1964 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This is not just any old FJ40, this is a very very old school cruiser. It was made in 1962 according to the frame vin number. Toyota used what they called the FJ25 body on this. This truck wasn't sold until 1964 so that is when it was titled. It was a factory soft top with drop down tailgate. I do not have a soft top for this truck. What you see is what you get. I purchased this earlier in the year from a couple in Sparks Nevada. The number one thing going for this truck is the lack of rust. It is clean. SOLID! You don't find cruisers like this anymore. It has the original drivetrain with numbers matching engine. The previous owner removed the seats and fuel tank both of which are included. He lost his workshop so had to move it. The seats and tank are just setting in the truck and not bolted down. The fuel tank will need to be repaired or replaced. The previous owner stated he was running the engine on a fuel bottle and that it ran good. It has brand new tires on the original factory wheels with the matching hard to find hubcaps. It has the rare white instrument cluster and drop down tailgate. All of these things are very sought after items and that being said no I will not part this beauty out. The frame is solid as they come. I rubbed the paint with some cleaner and believe she will shine up nice keeping that cool old patina look (that's what I like anyway). I didn't want to wash her for she is dry and needs to stay that way. Great thing about this one is what you see is what you get. There is no shiny paint, no flashy signs, no hidden surprises, just a solid old school hard to find cruiser that needs to be put back on the road. Why am I selling should be your next question: I have a FJ45LV land cruiser that I am currently restoring and realize it will be months if not a year or twenty into this project. I can't keep them all but if I could this would be one of them. The truck is located in Glasgow KY just 1.5 hrs south of Louisville KY or north of Nashville.
