Vehicle Detail
Relisting, NO RESERVE!Up for auction is a 1968 Jeepster Commando. Not a total restoration but in excellent condition! Engine is a freshened 3.8 from a 1985 Grand National. Turbo setup is not installed but is available. Engine runs excellent and transmission/transfer case work perfect. The transmission is a THM400 that hits every gear exactly as it should. The tires pictured are no longer on the Jeep, it now has brand new 33 12.50/ 15 AT on it. It also currently has the hard top on it but comes with the pictured soft top. This was an Arizona truck and is still titled to Arizona. I had a state inspection done in Indiana which I will provide with the truck as well as the clean Arizona title. Has new exhaust system and new front brakes. The front drivers seat will need replace as the cover and lower bun are bad, passengers seat just needs recovered. Back seat is perfect. There are just a few things that need finished up to make this a solid daily driver. The wipers and turn signals need to be hooked up. The front driveshaft needs to be installed and it does need a heater core as the original leaks. As I stated before this was an Arizona truck so it had almost ZERO rust, just a few small spots on the lower rockers, welded and fixed. Also the tailgate came from a donor Jeepster and did require some repair but came out fine. This is all I can think of at the moment. I do have more pics on my phone but cant get them to load to the ad. Please ask questions before you bid and thanks for looking!Buyer is responsible for shipping. On Nov-11-16 at 11:03:23 PST, seller added the following information: **Update: Several people expressed concern over the front driveshaft not being installed, I had some time today so I went ahead and installed it, hooked up the turn signals and windshield wipers. I'll be driving it between now and the time it sells so the miles will go up. Also the Jeep is for sale locally so I will end the auction if it sells. Again thanks for looking and thanks for the questions! On Nov-14-16 at 08:21:23 PST, seller added the following information: Wanted to add that I do have the original Dauntless v6 engine that came out of the Jeep with an HEI distributor. It ran great but we wanted to use the even fire engine since its a direct bolt in replacement. Also have a new set of original size tires and wheels if you would prefer those over the 33 that are on it. I wouldn't charge to swap them over just let me know which you prefer.
