Vehicle Detail
I am proud to offer this custom 1956 Chevrolet RestoMod Bel Air. Not only is this a super cool one of a kind custom ride, it is also an excellent cruiser that you can actually enjoy driving. This car was built with attention to detail throughout. This started out as an older restoration with decent body work and nice looking paint in place. Disk breaks were added up front to slow down this 383c.i. Blueprint crate motor with an Eldebrock 750c.f.m. carburetor and Turbo 400 transmission. Next up was completely new wiring using a modern fuseblock by American Autowire bumper to bumper and a Dakota Digital dash to make sure that you could monitor all of the important things. We had to make it sound good as it ran so we replaced the exhaust from the ceramic coated headers back with a dual magnaflow exhaust system. The shocks were replaced in the rear to make sure that the ride was smooth and off you go. This RestoMod is a perfect marriage of Old School and new. It has tons of charm and will get a nod where ever you may go. If you are in the market for a tasty old car, do yourself a favor saving time and money and purchase one that is already complete and ready to go. Some of the Highlights: - Blueprint 383ci V8 with less than 500 miles - Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission - Dual Exhaust - Dakota Digital Dash - American Autowire bumper to bumper - Great Looking Interior - Dry Cell battery with negative cutoff for the times in storage In Summary: Drive Train: Is all in great running condition and is nicely installed and wired. There are no noticeable leaks or smoke and this Bel Air fires right up every time. Idle has just enough lobe in it to help you remember that you have some power behind the pedal and the exhaust sounds oh so nice. The transmission shifts smoothly and this car drives effortlessly at any speed. Body: Is totally solid where it counts with tons of character. The paint is in great condition with an estimated restoration of 7-10 years. The weatherstripping and seals are good. The doors shut cleanly and all of the glass is either new or in great shape. Interior: Is in great shape with very minor blemishes. It is comfortable to sit in whether you are driving to the store or out for a Sunday cruise. Also, did we mention the Dakota Digital LED dash ? Undercarriage: Is very solid and nice. Very few spots are showing signs of this being a 60 year old vehicle by the trunk latch and one body mount. In Closing ..... This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air RestoMod starts, runs, shifts, stops and drives great. I have tried to show you everything and describe everything but if you would like to see something specific or have any other questions, please let us know. On Oct-31-16 at 19:54:29 PDT, seller added the following information: A few things to add as I have had several questions on it. 1) The VIN tag is intact as is the build tag under the hood. 2) The stainless on the car is not perfect. There are some minor imperfections. I would grade it a 7 out of 103) The car has not been driven on long road trips. The furthest that I have taken it is approximately 180 - 190 miles in a day and had no issues. 4) The carb probably needs some minor adjustments depending on what your altitude is. It was new with the engine and has less than 500 miles on it so it definitely will not need replaced. 5) It does not have a radio, ac, or power steering.
