Up for auction is this 1963 Chevy Impala Convertible. True original convertible - not a converted hardtop. Supposed to be an original 409/3-speed on the column car but currently has a 327 with auto trans - will run & drive with some wiring work - previous owner cobbled things up but did run & drive. The original dash insert with tach was swapped out at some time for an A/C insert (non A/C car). Car has a nice front clip, solid hood & nice grille. Doors are straight but have had lower patches - I would recommend new skins. Quarters have had minor patches down lower but look good from inside the trunk. Trunk lid is good - trunk floor isn't too bad either - does have a rough hole where somebody has routed a fuel line into the trunk area. Top bows are pretty good - they do fold up and down - header has some rust and will need replaced. Top cylinders & hoses are all there but missing the top motor. Floors have been patched but can probably be cleaned up - they are roughest in the door jam area. Inner and out rockers have also had some sub-standard patch work and will need repaired properly. Front seat will be replaced with the correct & solid seat. Clear Kansas title in my name. Sold AS IS.
