Vehicle Detail
NOTE: The car does NOT have 12 previous owners, it only has 3 in total. I'm not sure why it shows like that, but if you look at it you will see there are only 3 in total! Up for sale is a 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. This car was actually purchased through eBay in 2014, and I've been working on restoring it myself, though have run out of funds to do so. The car is in decent condition as-is. It's been fully re-painted, I've installed a stereo system / DVD player and AMP system and re-wired the electrical to accommodate the added electronics (they are stored in the trunk area, and the wires are tucked around the car and out near the firewall to the battery). The car has 4 brand new tires and rims, which have only been driven on for 18 miles total. Car also has a brand new tail-light setup installed, and also comes with seat covers installed, floor mats, and some extra accessories (like the Spider-Man Gear Shifts) + LED lighting inside the car (might need to be fixed). The car also has a brand new cool air in-take, and also an AGM battery. The new parts added on to this car alone are worth about $2,000 - $2,500! The issue with the car right now it that it makes a rattling noise while it is running and the clutch is not pressed in, and also can stall out when trying to shift from gear to gear. AS FAR AS I KNOW this is from a throw-out bearing or a bearing of a different type in the engine bay needing to be replaced. This can easily be fixed and replaced if you know what you're doing, or shouldn't cost more then a few hundred for a mechanic to repair. The trunk itself also is missing the right side lift to it (the suspension lift that was originally broken, so I just removed it completely), and on occasion the gas door can get stuck and you need to open it by hand. SRS light also comes on, however it's from the splicing of wires from the red LED's installed inside the car, and shouldn't be an issue. Rear wiper motor was also replaced and works now, but needs to be reconnect and screwed back in with a socket wrench. This car is of-course being sold AS-IS though. These are the problems I know of, so I'm just making sure I list them. The issue with the bearing also causes the battery to drain, making it need a charge to get it to work. Once the bearing issue is fixed, it should resolve all the other problems with the car listed above (including the stalling, rattling, and battery drain issues). The title is also clean, and the car has 136,918 miles on it! Since the car can stall from the issues, and likely needs the battery jumped, charged, or boosted, I would not recommend trying to pick it up and drive it home. It's not safe to do so until the bearing is fixed. Having it towed or freight shipped by flat-bed would be the best possible way to have it delivered / picked-up. The title will be signed over for the new owner to register it, buyer pays additional on their end for pick-up / delivery of this vehicle!
