1999 Jeep Cherokee up for auction. 72,942 actual miles. Inspection good until March 2017. You will not find many of these with low mileage. Excellent in snow, great winter car. Jeep runs and drives good. very little rust. Many new parts. AC does not work, radio is intermittent. . The decals are easily removed. This Jeep was our sales and errand runner vehicle, so the mileage stayed low. It has always been a commercial vehicle and always on a maintenance schedule. This Jeep has a state of NY rebuilt title. It was inspected to have this title issued. The Jeep was part of a fleet of Jeeps owned by the state. Water got in the transmission and drive gear. The entire fleet was totaled out by the insurance company. The transmission was replaced from another Jeep with the same mileage. We replaced all the fluids at time of purchase and has been running great with no problems for 2 years. New parts within the last 2 years include head gasket, tie rod ends, brakes on all 4, full tune up, wheels, etc. This is the legendary Jeep 4.0 straight 6 with only 72,942 miles on it. This engine alone is worth a decent dollar. If you are reading this, you know how long these engines last. So.. don't let the title status fool you. This Jeep is in good condition as compared to some other Cherokees currently on the market. Buying rebuilt or salvage can save money. The Jeep starts, runs and drives perfectly. No oil leaks what so ever. 4wd works. From time to time the check engine light will come on, but it always goes off in a day or so. Same with the ABS light, it comes on when the Jeep sits a few days, but goes off after driving. Please understand this Jeep is 16 years old!
