A $500 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 12 hours of auctions end. This is a nice example of a fairly rare BMW R60US with only 443 produced in 1969. The bike starts and runs well and will need very little if anything to be ridden anywhere. The tires are good, all fluids have been recently changed within the last 1000 miles. I recently put a new set of points and a condensor in the bike due to a hot start issue and that seems to have resolved it. The only other thing it could be would be a new coil($150-175). I am unsure of the slinger condition, I was told they had been cleaned but have no paperwork proving that. The bike shifts and rides out well. The tires are continentals and have great tread left on them. The front tire could use balancing as it shakes a bit between 35-40, then smooths out. The paint on the bike is an older repaint from what looks like the 70s. The guy I purchased it from bought it in the late 70s and he had not painted it. Everything else seems to be original to the bike with the exception of the seat cover. The lights and instruments work as they should. The gas tank is clean and dent free. All in all its a great bike to ride as is, or begin a restoration on. I cant think of anything it needs to be honest other than a new owner. Ive decided to sell this to fund the search for an r69s. The bikes not perfect as you can see in the pictures, but it has a great patina and a good look. There are scrathces ,nicks, surface rust and some pitting. But all in all a very solid bike . I have ridden the bike multiple times and it seems to do everything it is supposed to.That being said it is a 47 year old bike that is being sold as is where is. A local inspection is welcomed and recommended . Please look at the pictueres very closely and ask any and all questions prior to bidding. There is a clear TN title in my name that will be released as soon as funds are cleared and bike is picked up. Shipping is the buyers responsibility but I will help your shipper load the bike and assist in any way possible. Bike is for sale locally and auction may end if reserve is not met. So dont wait to bid, it may not be available.
