The first of only 2 original Heads and Cam test cars built by ViperExchange and tuned on site, at ViperExchange by Dick Winkles. The Heads feature a “Set #1” designation, preproduction valves, and preproduction billet camshaft. This car has dyno’d 661rwhp and 600ftlbs of torque SAE with STD numbers in the 675rwhp range. The engine has performed flawlessly throughout our street and track testing with nothing needing to be changed or addressed. The car uses very little oil, and has exceptional idle oil pressure numbers when compared to stock cars or other heads and cam cars. We have run Pennzoil 0-W40 on the street and always run Mobile 1 15W-50 on road course days. This is the first Naturally Aspirated stock displacement Viper in the 9’s ever, of any generation, and is also the first and only Gen V NA Viper in the 9’s to date. The car also won the Inaugural Viper Nationals NA class and placed second in the 5th gen class. The car has our ViperExchange Dynamic Suspension Package, featuring fully active Tractive dampers controlled by DSC Sport. This car was actively used in the early stages of the development of this package for the Gen V Viper and features the most up to date DSC sport firmware and factory Bi Mode dash buttons to switch between Street and Race settings on the fly exactly like the OEM bi mode dampers. The car currently runs an Nth Moto Triple Carbon clutch setup personally by Aaron from Nth Moto in our shop here in Texas. We also have the stock clutch as well. The Nth clutch has roughly 1000 miles on it and is an incredible piece. Car has American Racing Headers stepped header design 1 3/4-1 7/8 and larger collectors (3 ¼) flowing into an ARH catback. Heat shielding consists of a Doug Shelby intake heat shield and a Calvo Motorsports fuse panel heat shield. All sensitive wiring has been double wrapped and sheathed from day one and shows no signs of wear or excess heat buildup. Car has a black powder coated metal OEM X brace and custom painted competition blue coil pack covers, and black smooth tubes also round out the engine bay. Car has had Xpel Ultimate paint protection film on it from day one, and has been professionally machine polished and coated with CQuartz UK. Wheels are gloss black powder coated sidewinder II’s wrapped in Toyo R888’s. I also have a full back up set of R888’s that are about 70% worn that can go with the car as well. OEM gas cap has been painted gloss black with competition blue letters. Car has a passenger side sealed Doug Shelby catch can. Car has custom GTD Badging that Ben Keating and I originally designed for the Heads and Cam cars to represent our involvement with our IMSA program on the street car. MEDIA The car was featured in the Viper Quarterly 2015 Winter issue “Finding 100 Ponies” and is being featured again in an upcoming issue of Viper Quarterly “Throw down in Baytown” outlining the success it had at the recent Viper Nationals event. It has been featured in Maurice Liang’s 2016 White Edition Viper Calendar for the month of January, and Modern Mopar Magazine is in the process of another feature that should hit newsstands in 3-6 months.
