Vehicle Detail
1979 HONDA CT 90 I am selling this for a family member who has owned it for the last 29 years. I rate the motorcycle an 8 out of 10 for the following reasons. It needs new tires, the sidewalls are severely cracked. The rear tire looks like the original OEM tire. The front tire was replaced in 1993 as the DOT code is 403.The carburetor needs fixed or replaced. The idle circuit works good, however the mid range needle and jet appear to be running on the lean side requiring the choke to be applied for the engine to get through the mid range. It currently has a #65 main jet installed for low altitude. A high altitude #60 is included. There is only one key and it does not open the helmet lock/spare gas can latch. Repairs have been made to two plastic body parts as depicted in the pictures. The current title indicates in 1987 the motorcycle had 15,000 miles which I suspected was a mileage picked during the title transfer to avoid going back home to read the actual mileage off the odometer. The odometer as indicated in the pictures is 3,123 miles which is more in line with the rear tire and bike condition. I tested the speedometer/odometer and trip meter, they are working correctly and correlate. Just be aware of this discrepancy and be the judge. The mirrors do not match indicating one has been replaced. Some of the light indicators in the headlight assembly display do not work and the head light only functions on the HIGH beam setting. The engine typical starts right up on the first kick. The battery is in good condition and holds a charge. There is no leakage through the rectifier circuit. It has been in Arizona for the last 29 years and the sticker on the tail light would indicate is was sold by a dealer in Arizona. The seat condition is good and pliable. The transmission works good through all the gears. The rims have no rust or corrosion as shown in the pictures. The motorcycle condition in general reflects a life in a dry climate and not exposed to weather and sun. It has small scratches, scuffs and wear one would expect for its age and use. Includes the original owner's manual and a 1963 - 1971 service, repair handbook. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns before placing a bid. THIS IS LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY! THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICK-UP WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE WINNING BID TO AVOID THE LOSS OF DEPOSIT AND TERMINATION OF THE SALE.
