1971 Suzuki TM400M 1971 TM400M Cyclone -Hard to find first year 'Cyclone-M' model TM. Excellent original paint on rust free (1 tiny ding) tank, & rear fender. The impossible to find front & rear OEM fenders are really quite excellent. Original pipe (some dings) with clamp on added silencer (removable), raised Akront wheels (very nice), frame (uncut), orig. KYB shocks (clean & still dampen), orig. early forks & triples, orig. controls (good), oil injection (still functioning), airbox (missing top cover only otherwise complete & nice), etc. All original forks were just rebuilt with new seals & oil. Newly recovered original seat, newer bars, and replacement vintage tires (Yokohama front & Goodyear Eagle rear) but otherwise this bike is an original gem and ready for your collection. I added NOS OEM new correct early 'mud scraper' footpegs, throttle, & rear brake arm. Matching frame & engine numbers show bike was built in May of 1971, & engine number plate is NOT broken (surprise!). Most of these got ridden hard and subsequently crashed hard, so from what I can tell this is a pretty low mileage machine.Has two (2) vintage compression releases: one handle bar activated, and another manual spring operated on side of cylinder--see photos.
