Up for Auction is a 1977 Ford F-150 XLT Ranger 4x4 Long box. I purchased this truck from the second owner who had owned it for the last 6 years and used it as a work truck- daily driver. I will describe the truck to the best of my abilities. Truck has 400 CI V8 with 3-speed auto trans. This truck runs, drives and stops good. Drives straight down the road front-end was aligned and rebuilt by previous owner. Engine sounds good and has dual exhaust. I didn't notice any major oil leaks and truck does not smoke. Transmission shifts good the linkage has a little play in shifter you have to make sure you have it in park not reverse when parking truck . 4WD works great and engages with no problems high&low range . Truck has AC but looks to be missing a pully and belt. Tires have decent tread & wheels have some pitting & rust I'm sure they could clean up. Interior could use a little work but still looks good dash has a couple cracks carpet could be replaced. Steering wheel is missing horn and center piece horn button and been re-located to bottom of dash. Everything in cab seems to work except dashlights and interior cab light above back window and ODOMETER is stuck and does not register the milage it has been this way for not quite a year shows 21XXX. Cargo light does work. Alll glass is good back slider window does not lock. Door weatherstripping has been replaced. By looking at this truck you can tell it was used as a work truck bed has been used and it shows. Original tail-gate is included but is missing some hardware to function.Body of truck has no rot ot rust holes only suface rust on several spots, Notice damage on front drivers side (SEE PICTURES). Floors are solid .Truck has dome dents and dings but still looks good for a 39 year old truck with original paint. Truck has been in NM since new.
