The Corvette delivers supercar performance for the price of a midsize luxury sedan. New for 2015 is an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the Corvette coupe and convertible will both be offered in Z06 trim. Now called the Corvette Stingray, the seventh-generation Corvette is a lighter and stiffer two-seat sports car available as a targa-roof coupe or convertible. The coupe and convertible include a 455-hp LT1 6.2-liter direct-injection V8 engine with Active Fuel Management and variable valve timing. An optional dual-mode exhaust adds 5-horsepower. The Z06 trims will include a supercharged 650-hp LT4 6.2-liter V8. A seven-speed manual transmission with automatic rev matching is standard and a new eight-speed automatic with steering wheel paddle shifters is available on all trims. Both transmissions include launch control.
