This should be considered a restoration project. Do not buy this car if you're looking for a reliable daily driver that needs little work. I am the original owner and used this car as a work vehicle for 13 years. The last year has seen it used by my son to drive around town and to school. It's been a great, reliable vehicle but it's getting long in the tooth. It's got roughly 323 thousand miles on it. I say roughly because on Toyota Matrix and Corolla models of this vintage, the odometer stops at 299,999. I used the trip odometer to keep track since then. It's still running and I believe the engine internals are still in good condition (I always changed oil and used Mobil one through it's life) but it has started to run rough. I believe the motor mounts are the cause but I'm not certain. Transmission shifts normally but not certain of its condition. On the good side. Rear struts were replaced last year, brakes are good, tires are ok, no cracks in glass, hhhhmmmm, I'm really reaching. On the bad side. Front struts, catalytic converter definitely need to be replaced. Did not pass emissions (safety inspection good until September), It's got an oil leak caused by o-ring on timing belt tensioner,. I've lived with it for awhile and just added oil as needed. AC hasn't worked for awhile. Stereo has issues (radio works fine but cd player broken and one of the display lights out so you don't see the whole display. The paint is ok, but 14 years of driving behind trucks has taken its toll. Body panels are good and car has not been in an accident. No visible rust. interior looks like a group of kids got dirty, then rolled around the seats for a few days. I've put seat covers on to hide the carnage. If you like this body style and are looking for a project car to have fun with, this might be what you're looking for. But understand what you're getting into. Please email with any questions.
