Up for auction is this Beautiful squeaky clean "weekend driver" this car is registered and insured in the state of New Jersey with the small (s) and small (f) on the title for flood and salvage. The car is 100% legal to drive! And is 100% roadworthy as of right now. You could hop in this car turn the key and use it as a "weekend driver" the car is registered and insured in my name not someone else’s. I took the car for the New Jersey State salvage inspection. The car PASSED! for everything except the odometer was not working at the time. A mechanic cleaned and re-attached the odometer cable on June 30, 2016… “it worked perfectly!” So i went back for re-inspection and it did PASS! The odometer worked for 100 miles as of right now it just stopped working? I assume it has been unattached again? “I have put on less than 20 miles since then“ All the other gauges on the instrument panel and electrical work! For example: Gas gauge Oil pressure water temperature speedometer tachometer outside temperature Power Windows Stereo windshield wipers Signal lights headlights parking lights cigarette lighter panel lights and even the clock all work! Note: Air conditioning does not! work but the heat does. Again the car runs and drives good. There was a tuneup down with platinum spark plugs, Pro start wires, distributor cap and rotor, New electric fuel pump, interstate battery and oil change just done! I have the receipts. The undercarriage is about as good as it's going to get for a 32 year old ”weekend driver" it has some rust on the lower rocker panels, two small spots on the rear floors both driver floors seem to be solid. There is no rust on the frame! Although there is rust underneath the spare tire "please see pictures" The interior is very clean and neat and does not smell dirty or musty it is showing it's age. The paint looks very clean and glossy from 10 feet away. Although it does have its share of blemishes imperfections and rust spots in the typical Areas. “just professionally polished” The top is all there! And in fair to good condition almost waterproof. The rear window has some hazing but you could still see out the back and drive safely! The steel top bars seem to be in good condition. As of the motor runs and sounds good! Although there is a small oil leak coming from the passenger side valve cover gasket. Mechanic recommended doing both sides. Less than a $200 job. Leaks less then a quart of oil between changes. “if you have this repaired it probably won't use any at all” The transmission shifts good and as well as it should it easily gets you up to 60 mph. The 4 tires have good tread although it looks like one of them is starting to have a little dry rot. It's perfect for local driving to and from church or the mall, grocery shopping car shows etc. All in all this is a good clean! Nice-looking "weekend driver" that still turns heads in the parking lot. And yes I also have the additional matching hardtop not shown in pictures. I believe This car is perfect! for the first time classic car enthusiast on a budget The car is classically insured by Grundy for only $70 a year and you can drive up to 5000 miles for the year! and it is registered and 100% legal to drive in all 50 states.
