*Read full description before bidding. Needs some work as it is 19 years old! Selling my 1997 Volvo 850 wagon. Runs and drives great! Just drove from Boston to NYC without issue and is commuted in 35 miles a daily! It has never let me down. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, car has good power for a non-turbo and is built like a tank! It's a wonderful little car! I am the second owner. First owner bought new in 1997 and did a European delivery (car and owner traveled around Europe before being shipped to USA for delivery). I have all of the maintenance records including waterpump, timing belt, replacement from the previous owner. The odometer stopped a few years ago at 114,ooo and the car is estimated to have about 150k on it. True mileage is sadly unknown though these cars will run to 400,000 and beyond. It has a power moonroof, tape player, power windows, power door locks. The interior is dark grey clothe and comes with rubber Volvo floor mats. The interior has very little signs of wear for the age mileage. Outside the car is in decent shape for almost 20 years old. There is a dent in the left front fender as seen in pictures. Also a little rust in the lower corner of front fenders and a small amount below tailgate glass. Apart from that the body is rust free and overall solid. ******What the car needs******** Mechanically the car has been well maintained though the suspension needs some love. It has later model S70/V70 wheels and Michelin tires. I just had new rear brake pads and rotors put on car (Volvo replacement parts) and it just passed Massachusetts State inspection in April. It is emissions exempt (cat has been removed and straight pipe in place so exhaust is throaty but does not leak). The car will need the usual 850 stuff. Front ball joints, sway bar links and left tie rod end should be changed soon. Rear delta link bushings also need replacement. Radiator weeps so will need replacement at some point. *******New stuff********* Car has brand new spark plugs, thermostat and a bunch of other tune up bits. Hatch pistons just replaced with Volvo ones for tailgate lift. Keep in mind that it is a 19 year old beast. It will need love and cosmetics but the bones are there for lots of trouble free driving. I bought a new Volvo so no longer need this one! Come give it a good home and bring it back to it's full glory. This vehicle is sold as is and due to it's age comes with no warranties or guarantees.
