Rust free 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Ws6/W72 with Pontiac 400 V8 and 4 speed manual transmission. This Car was purchased brand new here in Minnesota, and has never seen a snowflake. Purchased by the original owner as a special order with Hardtop body, 400/4sp and no A/C. This car is amazing underneath!! All original panels are untouched and have never been patched. I believe the car to be original paint, but am not an expert. It therefore exhibits the usual wear that a 38 year old car with 70 clicks may have. It has a few chips and dings. The interior is PERFECT! The dash has no cracks and is not warped from being in the sun. Even the cigarette lighter has never been used. The headliner is perfect! The seats are gorgeous, and the carpet is even in exceptional shape. The pictures make the carpet look dingy, but they are quite nice. From the paper work that I have, the original owner went through the Herb Adams catalog in 1979, and ordered a TON of parts. Front subframe braces have been installed, Moroso oil accumulator, lowering kit, HUGE sway bars both front and rear, Safety harnesses (seat belts are in the trunk and go along with), trunk mounted battery, carburetor and distributor kit. The template he used to cut out the back of the shaker is present in the documentation, as is the build sheet. Car drives out very nice and has new brakes. Tires are in great shape! The hurst shifter works great, and the trans shifts nice. Fresh plugs/wires/cap/rotor. Fresh oil change, radiator flush, and general tune up. This is not your typical pieced together junker. This is an unmolested time capsule that has been loved since it was new. The second owner had possession for 20 years. I am the third owner. I would trade up for a Midyear Corvette Roadster, or ZL1 Convertible. Please do not offer 2 chickens and a goat, or a 79 Granada, or something that nobody else in this world would possibly want. I am a motivated seller and want to move on.
