Without a choke, stone-cold starts require a little finesse and a routine. Turn on the gas petcock, two full pumps of the throttle, closed throttle, start, and feather the gas for around 30 seconds until warm. As such, it's important to keep the battery fully charged on a battery tender. Battery was recently replaced. Once the motor is warm or hot.
