Truck is a 2005 Ram 2500 w/ the 5.9 Cummins just under 220,000 miles. I bought it with 56,000 I think. Basically this was my daily driver until it started blowing/billowing white smoke on my drive home from work one night. Earlier that day the engine light came on, about a 1.5 miles from home the truck started smoking and shuddering when I slowed down or came to a stop, but did not stall out. I drained about a pint from the filter housing the next morning to see if maybe there was water in the filter, that didn’t clear up any issues. Added some water separator later to see if that helped- nope Injector pump was knocking/hammering at this point. Had it towed to my diesel mechanic, they drained about a quart of fuel from the filter which came out pretty cloudy, it separated by the end of the day to should about 4 oz of water. Had them replace the injector pump with a used one I got, that cleared up almost all of the smoking, but the engine could still run for a little bit without the key turned on. Is also doing a “takeoff” thing where it seems like it is just throttling even if you aren’t pressing the accelerator, Mechanic thinks it may have a broken ring and possibly a bent rod, and from what I’ve read on the internet, possible a burnt injector and a piston w/ a hole burnt in it. Will still run and drive(poorly), that’s how I got it to my friends place where it is now. It felt like it had less power and a strange vibration, there was smoke visible on the three mile drive from the mechanic’s The truck will need the front tires replaced, but there are two brand new ones in the bed. Damage on the vehicle: Front Right- I got hit about 5 years ago by an old man who ran through a stop sign, fender, bumper and headlight took the brunt, bent the fender back, replaced the head light. The car was drivable without any change in handling felt. Rear: 1: Got rear ended by a girl sending a text, tail gate and rear bumper are dented. 2: backed into a tree smashed the rear right tail light and dented the rear quarter, hammered it out, not perfect, but can mount the tail light Front Passenger window/door: Has some chips in the window and a dent in the pillar from where “a fat puerto rican girl and two black guys” (according to my neighbor- he used a different word for the black guys) broke into the car, they ended up smashing the rear passenger window (replaced). Took an iPod, left all my tools Rear Driver’s side Window motor is broken, needs to be replaced, window is held in w/ a block of wood held in place with a couple screws. Some scratches on the door – shown in the pictures Front Driver’s side door: Has some scratches Wheels / Tires: 3 Alloy, + 1 Steel (was the spare) Needs 2 front tires replaced (have two new tires in the bed) Interior: Drivers seat shows 220,000 miles of wear Rear driver’s side seat has a tear from my tool box There are a couple panels missing from installing a new stereo (Jensen with a DVD player) and Amp (4 ch Pioneer D class). I have them and will be included Maintenace: Replaced both front bearings and rotors last march New rear passenger side rotor in December New Air Filter – 3 miles ago New Fuel filter – 3 miles ago
