1993 CBR900RR Up for auction is another wonderful example of a game changing super-bike... This bike once again changed everything and put the world on notice! Every so often a bike comes along and resets the standard for things to come (1986 GSXR, This bike, 1998 YZF-R1, 2001 GSXR1000, BMW S1000RR to name a few) to me these were the game changers - the bikes that rewrote the rules… I have just a few of these that will be making their way across the block. This one, the RR, is without a doubt a force to be reckoned with. The power to weight ratio was revolutionary. It was without a doubt fast with its sizing & weight being of a 600cc and the power of a liter bike. I could go on and on about this bike, but my guess is that you know what you're looking at and want to hear more about this particular one. As you should already know, these bikes are very hard to find… Ok let me reframe that, these are hard to find that are original, low miles, and in good working and cosmetic condition. There are lots of used RR’s that come up for sale now and again with lots of miles and wear, but to me, these are not collector bikes, just used bikes. This bike is in my opinion a “great" example of a collector bike. I say great because of the condition being not perfect, but very nice and it has one owner along with the low miles and that is the best case scenario for me. It showed some wear and use along the bottom white fairing, where there are some chips and/or pitting as if ridden on gravel, not horrible - but evident, and a rub mark on the tail from a storage cover. This bike was still being ridden very, very sparingly by its original owner whom was going threw a tough divorce. It had some of the the usual used bike stuff done to it, tires changed and aftermarket brake lines, but it had original blinkers, windscreen, tail and reflectors -- all of this points to a good, unmolested machine. The condition and the mileage as well as the color pulled me in -- very few red, white and blue ones seem to come up that often. It was in great shape, all the plastics were original as far as I could tell and not all scratched up with the exception of a small one-inch crack in the right mid panel (in the red portion) which you can see in the pictures below. Rims were in nice shape - no excessive marks which would be indicative of multiple tire changes. It does have low miles and the bike should tell that story and it did. The tank was clean, no rust or paintwork had been done and it started right up and ran and idled very well. Once home the bike was stripped down to frame and motor. The bike was in great shape underneath as well and was cleaned up, oil and filter changed, fuel and air filters changed, tank and carbs drained, battery removed and discarded then put into climate controlled storage. I have all the receipts of parts that were ordered and installed. All put into a binder for the new owner. This bike would make a nice addition to an existing collection and or start a new one. This bike is surely going to appreciate over time. Please take the time to look over the pictures in great detail and decide if this bike is the right fit for you, ask questions if needed. Good luck and have fun! I have had a lot of interest on this bike and a lot of people whom want me to end the auction. I will not end the auction -- period, so don’t ask…. Winning bidder is the winner! The bike comes with: Binder with all paperwork that I haveOwners manualOEM service manual Original tool kit
