Up for sale is my Corvette Convertible. The first owner ordered/leased vehicle for his wife and was ordered/sold new at La Brea Chevrolet in Los Angeles (no longer in business). I'm the third owner and car has been in our family since late 2002 when my father purchased for my mother. This was her daily driver for 11 years and was used for her job for a major cable company, therefore most of the miles were highway driven. When she retired in late 2012, the car was no longer practical therefore I decided to take Corvette into my possession. It has all original paint on exterior, top is also original, and all glass is original. No accidents. The front nose has normal wear from stone chips as well as hood has some chips. Interior is all original and both front seats have NOS Chevrolet seat covers. Transmission was rebuilt at 173,000 and rear axles were replaced at same time. Reason for trans rebuild was because of small leak at differential which is very common since the transmission and differential are one unit. When mechanic had rear trans-axle/transmission out of car and had to separate transmission from trans-axle, I decided to have transmission rebuilt along with torque converter. A/C compressor was also replaced with genuine GM new compressor, not rebuilt. All 4 rotors and brake pads have been replaced using genuine GM parts. All four Michelin run flat tires have a lot of tread life left. This Corvette also is very rare color combination as only 707 total production convertibles had red interior. Other options include sport seats, power passenger seat, Bose sound system with 12 Disc CD changer, right and left illuminated vanity mirrors, 5 spoke factory chrome wheels. Tire pressure monitoring system in working order. The only things that does not work are the lumbar supports on both seats as the plastic air tubes break and the inflatable bags deteriorate and are no longer available from Chevrolet. Nothing has been modified/altered nor any aftermarket parts installed on this car, 100% stock. If someone is looking for a nice weekend car at a fair price with clean title, this would make a great car. Always has been in Southern California since new. Also has always used Mobil One motor oil since new and is the recommended oil as per service book. My reason for selling is that the Corvette just sits in my garage and only driven about 1,000 miles in the last year. I would love to see the car go to a good home where it would remain in the condition it is currently in. I also have the original VCR tape that was with owners manual and booklets (all still with car along with corvette pen and leatherette case). Comes with original keys and 2 fobs.
