Up for auction is a 1968 Volkswagen bus There are lots of photos below the guy that used to own this was a vw guru and new his stuff on making these run top notch, i found it sitting in the hills of Emette Idaho tucked away back in the mountains , It drove back pulling the hills very nice , I was amazingly surprised at how well this bus could bull the steep hills , she has plenty of power , going up steep hills at 45 in 3rd gear , and that was not pushing it at all ! This bus is very original and super solid throughout, , the worst of the rust is in the floors up front which could be cut and pop rivited in a day , it holds a very nice patina style and gets lots of attention The engine is solid and ran at 60 mph on a 50 mile trip 2 months ago and Im sure it would make it around the world if you asked it to, it runs that good ! .These 1600cc engines are awesome mated to a 4 speed manual transmission The bus was just started today 6/2/16 and ran beautifully , it had been sitting for a month and fired right up at the turn of a key and a couple pumps of gas , if your looking for a good runner look no further! What you see on this bus is what you get , I have a few more wheels I will throw in and a couple hub caps. The undercarriage is in great shape, it is super solid, i have taken lots of photos of it These buses are getting harder and harder to find if you pull a blue book on these they are worth lots of money , especially restored .
