Vehicle Detail
This is a very rare Mercedes 220 SE 4-gear MANUAL Transmission. Excellent and in superb condition. The car drives like new. Original 67K miles. Car is an ALL original work of art. Valence windows, or "quarter windows" are fully functional. The engine is very strong; full compression on 6 cylinders and transmission switches from gear to gear very smooth. This car is a real pleasure to drive. I drove this gem 400 miles recently on a trip. Car drives superbly. Starts immediately and smoothly. Brakes and Calipers have been very recently done.. All lights are working. Speedometer, tachimeter, oil pressure, temperature gauge are all working. Original Becker Europe radio Two sets of keys including gas tank key and valet key and glove compartment key. The Kienzle clock on the dash board is working! Has a very smooth hydrolic clutch. Original Mercedes big double horn is working Handbrake mechanism has been redone and is working with the correspondent dashboard brake light. Car needs nothing. Windows are all manual and working excellently. No freedom on the steering wheel. The car doesn't shake at all while driving and doesn't pull either left or right. Recent alignment has been done. A real keeper and extremely collectible. I collect antique classic Mercedes and this one is a real gem. I am sorry to sell it. I'm relocating and can't take this baby with me. There only only a few of these made with a manual transmission. Leather seats are been replaced, and in excellent shape: no indentures from sitting-weights, no tears no scratches, looks brand new. No decoloration of original brown leather. No torn stitching. Amazing for a car of this age. Original Carpets...excellent condition. No oil leaks, no water leaks. Original Black steering wheel and Black shift stick knob NO CRACKS on the White steering wheel or stick shift knob at all!! One of the last Mercedes made by hand, the quality of this car is amazing, you can feel it when you drive it. Despite being a very heavy car, this car is extremely fast. No rust or accidents except in some areas paint is pealing . Very well kept car. Great gas efficiency; around 25 miles per gallon. Just serviced; new gas and air filter and oil filters. Original jack and spare tire are included. Car comes with extra oil filters. All chrome around the car is in good shape. Engine model: M127 2195 cc 6 cylinder – Injection – no carburetor. Designed by Paul Bracq. Whoever ends up owning this car is a very fortunate person indeed!
