Vehicle Detail

Up for sale this 1973 Triumph TR5T Trophy Trail. Matching numbers show that it was manufactured in Nov. 72. I purchased it the day after Christmas 2015 with every intention of parting it out. I was going use the money to buy parts I need to fix an old Enfield Bullet. Anyway, got it home and started looking at it... Here I am five months later and came to the conclusion that there's to much bike here to part it out. I do not have a title for it but surely there's a way You can get one. The SC tag on it is 1990. The motor is not locked up and has good compression. I pulled both plugs and both sides have good spark. The guy said the front wheel is one he slapped on it just to get it around. After I took the pics I removed the tach to dry it out. Couldn't get the speedometer off. I also removed the carb which can be rebuilt. I was thinking about cranking it and after lots of consideration realized I'd be defeating my original plan. New cables, oil, etc. I'd be too far into it and it's not my kinda bike. Tank is beautiful, inside needs cleaning. Other than what I've said I did, all I did was douse it down everywhere with PB Blaster and WD 40. I believe in letting the chemicals do the work. My pictures show the rest but I can take more if you need them. The seat is shot but there(mounting holes gone). The side plates look like a lost cause but I guess you could patch them up. I just kept staring at it thinkin what a great father son project as long as you could get it running and keep it running throughout the restoration. It's a lot more fun to be riding your project. Buyer needs to pick it up here or make some kind of shipping arrangements. I am willing to help out if necessary. Email with any questions. I'll do my best to answer them. Also any pics you need just ask and I will try. I know I have a few of the carb when I took it off because I like to document everything I do. PayPal not Accepted. Cashiers Check, Money Order, Personal Check, CASH. Didn't know it when I bought it but Andy Griffeth road one of these in a movie called Pray for the WildCats
