Vehicle Detail
1975 Honda CB750F0 Supersport31,560 miOverall, a clean bike with beautiful, original, sparkly sunrise orange paint. It's only this color once. The bike is a great rider, in real nice, mostly original shape. I'll let the pics do the talking. It starts easily, kick or electric start but I always kick it. It starts right up even after sitting for a month or so, but it's a bit cold-blooded and requires a little throttle blipping until you get that big mass of aluminum all warmed up. Once it is it idles nicely and accelerates smoothly with no issues. New Avon tires and fresh front brakes/caliper ready for the riding season. I took it to work the other day and it performed perfectly at reasonable highway pace, however it is 40+ years old and not without any cosmetic flaws and quirks. One of the side covers it came with was cracked and the other was perfect. I repaired the one side and then peel coated both of them black and added new emblems. I figured if I came across an original side cover at a decent price I'd peel the one perfect one and put the new one on with the emblems. The OE covers are molded metallic gray in color, but I think the black looks better, so haven't been in a hurry to bring it back to stock. The exhaust is aftermarket and I'm not sure of the brand. It sounds great though, not too loud. In fact that's one of the things that really attracted me to this bike. I'm not a fan of inline four cylinder bikes, but this one sounded so cool I had to have it. I have the original header pipe but not the muffler. I'll include it with the sale of the bike. I also have the original mirrors. There is a small ding on the rear, right side of the tank and there's some chipping along the edges of it also. The ding you can see but the paint isn't damaged so it doesn't detract much from the bike's appearance. I tried to get decent pics of everything. The inside of the tank is perfect. I figured I would use some black door edge guard to cover and prevent further chipping but I left it off so it would be disclosed here in my ad. There is also a small amount of marking on the lower left side of the frame near the foot peg and chain guard where it looks like the battery may have leaked a bit at some time in the past. The battery in there now is in fine shape. There are also a few chipped fins on the right side of the engine you can see in one of the pics, though it is slight. Also, the brake light doesn't come on with the front brake. I assume the switch is faulty, I haven't checked it yet. I just noticed it as I was going over the bike for this ad.I bought the bike about 2 years ago as a good running bike and I've done very little in the way of riding it. With my ride to work the other day I don't think I've topped 100 miles. I did do a lot of cleaning and detailing to it and made it safe and street worthy, but the thing is a beast and I usually favor one of my other bikes when going for a ride. It's time this bike finds a home with someone who will enjoy it, and I'm going to look for something vintage and a little smaller like a twin or two stroke. If you had one of these back in the day and are looking for another clean one, now is your chance. The CB750F0 is one of the rarest 750's next to the '69 sandcast which everyone wants and the 750A automatics that no one wants. There is only one direction for the value of this bike to go. UP! Put a set of clubman bars on it and you have a cool fastback-style cafe bike that can be quickly put back to stock.I am not shipping this bike. Buyer is solely responsible for it's pick up either in person or sending a shipping company of their choice. Payment is by cash or bank transfer only. While I reserve the right to end the auction early, I have no plans of doing so. Please don't bother asking. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
