Vehicle Detail
2003 Nissan Maxima SE 3.5L V6 6 Speed Manual TransmissionCar currently (as of 5/17/16) has 124,272 miles on it. I drive it to work every day, so expect the mileage to go up 300-400 miles per week from the date of this posting. Clean carfax, no check engine lights, transmission shifts fine, clutch is good. I am selling because my commute is changing from mostly highway driving to stop-and-go Boston traffic.Car has had a lot of work done over the last year, including:* 2 new tires, April 2015 (currently on rear of car)* 2 new tires, May 2016 (currently on front of car)* New brake pads, April 2015* New front struts, April 2015* Aftermarket Pioneer head unit with bluetooth, linked up to steering wheel controls (existing CD and cassette players weren't working)* Transmission fluid change to Redline MT-90, May 2015* Radiator support repaired, August 2015 (major issue with these cars in states that use salt, support beam for radiator and engine rusts away. Rusted areas were cut out, new steel welded in, should be good for another 12 years now).* New battery, October 2015* Suspension repairs, including new sway bar end links, tie rod, and control arm, December 2015* Spark plugs, April 2016* New alignment, May 2016* New muffler, May 2016Interior is in great shape, no odors. The only real stain is a coffee spill on the rear passenger floor mat. The car runs and drives great. There are only a few minor problems with the car, none of which affect its drivability or dependability: * Cosmetic issues. Dings on front bumper, paint issues on rear bumper, and crooked/rusty gas filler cover. Two of the 17" alloy wheels have some damage. These cosmetic issues are all shown in the attached photos.* Fuel gauge does not work. I top off every 300 miles and there's still usually 5 or 6 gallons left in the tank.* Car burns some oil. This is a problem endemic to the '02 and '03 Nissan Maximas, caused by a poorly designed valve cover. The oil burning has no effect on the car's reliability or performance, it just needs the oil to be checked and topped off on occasion. Please contact me if you have any questions, or would like to see the car in person or take it for a test drive. I will not ship the car. Please note that I am also listing the car elsewhere and may pull this ad at any time. I will only accept a cash payment when you pick up the car, but a deposit of $300 of the final price will be required within 2 days of the auction closing.
