1980 Jeep CJ7 Renegade for sale. Straight 6 cylinder, AMC 258. 4.2 L. Stock Carb. Automatic transmission. I have owned this for 7 years and have done some upgrades. This jeep is in very good shape all around. This Motor starts up at any temp, runs very strong and has no problems pushing the 38's down the highway at 70mph (GPS). It has: Frame restored, in great shape. Fiberglass tub, never have to worry about floor boards or cab corners rotting out. 4 inch suspension lift with 1 inch shackle lift and 2 inch body lift. I have corrected the castor angles on the front end, no more "death wobble" at higher speeds from lift. Air horn installed Aftermarket steering wheel New muffler last year Replaced fuel lines this year and fuel filter. Soft top Has the YJ brake booster upgrade kit, stops well now. Stock CJs don't stop well. 35 inch Maxxis Bighorn tires on American racing rims. Custom stainless bumpers front and rear, beefy. Headlight and tail light guards. Has a custom sound system, no head unit tough....wired for a Sony. Put the head unit in my new project. Has 4 speakers. Two speakers up front (see pic) and 2 lower roll bar speakers. Upgraded seat belts from lap belts. New E-brake cable this year. AGR steering box, aggressive off road one. Sway bar quick disconnect. New pad and rotors last year. Drum brakes redone two years ago. New heater core last year. Lockable center console. Custom Drive shafts for lift. Outdoor weather cover, covers entire jeep. High/low beam on the floor. Jeep has 88059 miles on it right now. I put about 2k to 3k miles on it a summer, only put on 1000 last summer. Stored in doors from October to April every year, just took it out of storage. Not used in the winter. All points greased yearly. Never abused, never offroaded hard. Only taken on town dirt roads. Very low taxes and cheap insurance. Nothing wrong mechanically at all, engine and transmission strong. Shifts to 4wd with no issues. This thing turns heads wherever I go. Could fit 37's on it, maybe 38's. State of CT does not require titles on vehicles older than 20 years so I do not have a title. I bought it from a gentleman in PA 7 years ago and he did not have a title either. Currently registered in CT as antique vehicle. Has a few minor body nicks which I took pictures of. Fuel gauge not working, it worked before I replaced the fuel line, I had to drop the tank to do this (either I messed up the ground or float is stuck). The soft cover is fully functional but getting old. Tires are getting low on tread and have cracking, still hold air (see pictures). I've been driving on them with these cracks for 3 summers now. Oil pan has very very minor drip, right from the oil drop bolt. I'm trying to be 100% honest and mentioned every flaw. Text or call me with anymore questions. Asking 7500$ obo.
