NO RESERVE AUCTION - MAKE SURE TO READ EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN DONE TO THIS MOTORCYCLE - DON'T WORRY ABOUT BEING IN CORRECT GEAR IT IS AN AUTOMATICYou are bidding on this 1977 CB750A Hondamatic. Serial # CB750A 7101997. I believe this motorcycle was only made for three years and there were approximately 8000 units produced. If you are not familiar with the Hondamatic do some research so you have an understanding before you bid. It has Neutral, Low and Drive, there is no clutch lever so if you are a long term bike rider the Hondamatic takes a little getting used to. But once you get used to no clutch the bike is great to ride. Cosmetically the bike was in pretty nice shape, it just took a lot of cleaning and polishing. Mechanically I did a lot of work to make the bike perform well and be reliable. I have only ridden the bike about 10 to 15 miles since I restored it but at speeds up to about 75 miles per hour and stop and go. There were no vibrations, shakes etc. Brakes worked satisfactory for the vintage of brakes just keep in mind it is technology from 1977. When I purchased the bike it was non running and the following is what I have done to the bike. 1. Brakes, rebuilt the master cylinder and the calibers on front wheel. Rear wheel brake shoes were fine I just cleaned the shoes and drum. 2. New Oil (10W/40W) and Filter and also a new air filter. 3. New tires that I had for another Honda 4. I removed oil pan to make sure no metal shavings were in oil pan, cleaned the screen and the installed a new gasket for oil pan. 5. Installed new Pamco Electronic Ignition new coils and new plug wires and new plugs. 6. Rebuild kits in carbs and then synchronized them with a 4 carb synchronizer. 7. Compression test on all four cylinders they ranged from 130 to 150. 8. The exhaust is in good condition because of surface rust on the manifold it was painted a heat proof black. 9. Cleaned the parking brake and mounted on the right hand side of the bike. Installed new battery and changed oil in forks After doing all of the work and riding it I have a lot of confidence in the operation of the bike. Seeing it only has about 13000 miles it should be a good bike for someone. I only sell to the United States. Shipping would be at the cost of the buyer. I would deliver within 300 miles from Traverse City, MI for $1.00 per mile each way in an open trailer. I have many photos on Smugmug and they can be accessed at the following link: https://tcretro.smugmug.com/Motorcycle-Projects/1977-Hondamatic-CB750-AThe sale of this bike is as is. There is no guarantee or warranty implied or otherwise. Any questions please ask or call Paul at 231-392-3321. The motorcycle is located in Traverse City, MI and available for viewing.
