Up for auction at NO RESERVE is a PORSCHE 356 SPEEDSTER from Classic Motor Carriages. This Speedster was built in 1989 on a 1973 VW chassis. It is titled as a 1973 VW.The engine is a VW 1776 (rebuilt in 1989) and has dual 44 Weber carbs. The transmission was rebuilt 1991 and shifts nicely. Has front disk and rear drum brakes.All gauges work except the oil pressure and Oil Temp gauges. The car has a roof and but no side curtains. It also has a full tonneau cover. (Tonneau cover has a small tear near one of the snaps)The car has no accidents and has always been stored in a garage & covered.I believe I have all the receipts from when the original owner built it and also have the original assembly book. Seen in pictures. The car has set for the last year and did not get fuel stabilizer added prior to being stored. This last month I pulled out of storage and started it and it ran rough so I drained the fuel and took carbs apart and cleaned. They were a little gummed up. After cleaning the car runs great but has a slight hesitation when getting on the gas. I will be uploading a video of it running. The car has also developed a pull to the left when braking since being stored but I have not driven it much yet this spring.I am the second owner and have owned it since 2006. Clear title is in-hand. It has been a great car and I hate to sell it but we have sold our house and the worst part, garages so I will no longer have room for it. Happy bidding and I hope she goes to another good home.
