Completely original R75/5! Very strong. Smooth, quiet [original German Zeuna pipes], and handles like a dream. I am the third owner, and I bought it 5 yrs ago from an 87 year old friend who bought it in 1995 from the original [dentist] owner. Before I continue, I must be clear: I can't say the bike is perfect, after all it is a 1972, but I CAN say it has no dents, dings, bad scratches, rips, tears, or disappointing flaws. And I CAN also say that I seriously doubt you can find a better -ORIGINAL- [never crashed] bike anywhere in the US! And I mean that. When I first bought it I immediately did what I thought should be done to make an awesome handling bike even better: I replaced the steering-head bearings, rebuilt the forks [seals, oil and Progressive brand springs] and installed new rear shocks [also Progressive]. So.. to continue; it has new Michelin tires, new oil-seal in the rear drive housing, synthetic oil, vales just adjusted [and very quiet!!], no top-end noise at all, the tank is perfect, the chrome is perfect, there is one small scratch on the nose of the front fender [see photo], but the paint is all original. Always garaged, under cover. Always StarTron gas additive. I do full tune-up every spring [whether it needs it or not]. Perhaps the most basic motorcycle ever made.. this is why it doesn't break! Simply relax and ride!! That is what I do. If you are interested, please make a serious offer right away. You will not find a better R75/5 anywhere, and I have motivation to sell it immediately. (Pricing: NADA says it is $8,035.00 but I add that true value must take into consideration "availability". Just try to find this model, in this condition. You can't! I have tried. If you are serious, consider buying ASAP as it is also for sale via other means.) Have trailer for transit within reasonable distance from Worcester, MA.
