I am the first and only owner of this 1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4...I got it on March 23, 1998 and picked it up from Daytona Mitsubishi, at the time the odometer read 998 miles...I have owned it ever since...this was actually one of Mitsubishi's Fleet Marketing cars that Mitsubishi got me for all the work my company had done for them over the years...sticker price..$45,735.00... I have all the original paper documentation including The original Monroney sticker (window sticker)Owner's Manual in it's leather caseLimited Warranty and Owner Information bookMaintenance Booklet (3 & 4 in their case)New Owner Guide10 Disc CD Changer GuideVarious other booklets and guidesI also have the full maintenance records for the car (well almost complete I'm sure a few minor ones have not made it in the folder)... It was well maintained by the guys in my company's race shop, they did all the routine maintenance (oil changes and brake changes, tire maintenance, etc.) the rest was done at Boardman Mitsubishi here in Youngstown... Runs very well...still strong...never had any real problems with it..have really not used it in the past few years (the license plates expired in 2013)..drove it around a couple of time just to keep it moving...yes, the cops got me for expired tags (but let me go because it was such a great looking car...) Accidents or damage: NONE...never been hit (or never hit anything!) Repairs: Replaced power steering rack at 44,396 miles Replaced timing belt at 59,765 miles (standard at 60,000 mile check-up) Replaced front struts at 78,917 miles Replaced Slave Cylinder and Clutch Master Cylinder in within the past 1,000 miles Condition: Interior: Interior in very nice condition...seats (leather) very nice, carpets very good except for worn spot from heel under the accelerator, carpeted mats very good. dash very good no tears, cracking or fading looks new, gauges all work, look good, power seats, windows, locks, outside mirrors all work as normal.. climate control panel and sound system w/10 disc changer in rear compartment work (well everything but the air conditioning - see issues under mechanicals)... rear compartment retractable cover is present and is in good condition and works fine.. this car has had a smoke free life...no smoking ever in the car... Issues: missing cigarette lighter... power antennae does not work... some minor wear to left side bolster on drivers seat (see Photo) Exterior: Looks great, never been hit...all panels are original and straight and true..no chips or cracks in any of the the glass...original paint: Glacier White Pearl, some minor stone chips in the front bumper and nose area and on outside mirrors, they are not very noticeable...all lights, horn and signals work properly Issues: a spot of rust on the drivers side door (see photo)..looks like it got dinged and small rust area developed - minor an area of rust developing under the fuel filler door (see photo)...not horrible...but definitely needs taken care of the black painted area on trunk deck around rear window bottom is faded... the chrome plating on the wheels shows signs of some lifting on some of the wheels (new metallic brake pads dust)..wheels still strong... Mechanicals: engine runs good..turbo still kicks in strong...no known issues with the engine... transmission/clutch.....clutch works fine...new master cylinder and slave cylinder (see above notes)... transmission works fine except for slight chink in second gear (see Issues) all-wheel drive system...no known problems..works fine... suspension...works fine no known problems...the rear steer was replaced with solid adjustable links...this is a performance modification to improve handling... brakes...new crossed drilled rotors and metallic pads installed within the last 2,000 miles of operation...works good Issues: transmission...2nd gear chinks during a quick shift...probably could use a new synchro coming up.... air conditioning...needs a compressor... Over all a great car that still looks great after all these years...great car to drive...I'm still love the car and it's great fun to drive...but ...got to get rid of it before my 13 year old gets his license! $500.00 Deposit due at end of auction...balance due with in 7 days...
