Vehicle Detail

this auction is for a restored 55 t bird, it has new paint, motor and trans, and rear end, and interior. it is the right color for the 50's look, and the options are right, with power steering, brakes, seat, and windows. it has been converted to 12 volt, everything works, but the clock. forgot to take a pic of the top, but it has new paint and headliner as well, it is on a rack in the garage. it is the original top without the port hole. the soft top is new, and fits real tight. I am selling my dream car, really didn't know how hard it is for an older guy to get in to. I can do ok, with the top down, but up a tall person, that doesn't bend as well, like me has trouble. so I have it in the garage and only take it out on warm days, without the top. it really does drive and ride well, a much nicer ride, than the 56 crown, I had a year or 2 ago, the power steering and brakes help on that, plus it just has a smoother ride, not sure why since it has a shorter wheelbase. can't think of anything it needs, it does not have on door dings or chips. I have the modern, vintage looking radio to install, with the piece of chrome that goes behind it, in case the dash is cut. you can see them in the seat. also have a set of new wide whites, the tires on it are new. the spare looks to be the original. this car is clean underneath, I just can't get down there to take a pic, if needed, I can probably get my grandson to take some. when it was converted to 12 volt, a new radiator was installed. it always runs cool, and will get down the hwy, at hwy speeds. a lot of the chrome is new. I have new v8 emblems for the fenders, the originals are faded. might be interested in a trade, if it is something I like . any questions you can call 918 372 4457, Dave, my phone does not take texts,, it is a wired home phone, leave a message , if I am not hear, and I will call back, some more info, it is a 292 engine, and auto trans, believe both to be original to car, the glass is all good, lots of new suspension parts have been installed, it is a tight driving car. it is kinda dusty right now from the garage storage, I never take it to the car wash, just a hose at my house. thank you for your time reading all of this, daveOn May-04-16 at 14:22:03 PDT, seller added the following information: thought I better add:: the person that owns this car is my father. I listed it for him on my ebay page. he told me to make the reserve just under 25K, but when listing, guess I forgot and made it for just under 20K, but he says he will live with it, the first bid went over the reserve, and he is from out of the country. I do know he paid over 25K for it, and had it shipped across the country. to me it is the best looking car in town. (sorry Dad).On May-05-16 at 08:47:12 PDT, seller added the following information: had a few questions about the color and trim codes,,,, the color code is T, and the trim code is XC ,so looks like the color and trim that is with the car now, is the same as original. On May-06-16 at 07:13:19 PDT, seller added the following information: been getting some questions, the carb. is the original , I have always called it the teacup, it has been overhauled, and if it has been driven, and not set for a few days, you can just reach thru the window and hit the key, and it will start right up, also when the motor overhauled, and change to 12 volt. the starter, alt. water pump, wiper motor, window motors, lights, all were new also, plus probably a few others, I am leaving out. took the car to a body shop, on request of a couple questions, and the man said sometime in the past new rockers were installed, and 1 rear quarter, and there is play in the bottom door hinge, I never did notice, the door closes as it should. his labor to install a new hinge would be between 2-3 hundred$, the hinge would have to be bought from one of the t bird suppliers. not sure maybe just a pin and bushings, just telling what the body man said
