1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan Sport Sedan. Original survivor. Third Owner current owner since 1995, Garaged. This is NOT the "Baby" Lincoln. This is the first re-design of the Lincoln after World War II. New feature for this year include redesigned front coil springs, "Frenched" headlights and tail lights. The Cosmopolitan was the top model for Lincoln in 1949. Under 19,000 of these cars were built. Data on this car is scarce as so little of them survive. Estimates as low as several hundred are left in the States. This is a 66 year old car. It is not perfect but it is a survivor. They are only original once! Needs distributor cap and rotor, points, minor electrical repair, and brake freshening up. Have many small parts that will go with winning bidder. Car still retains 6-volt positive ground system. No structural problems. All doors, hood and trunk open and close as factory new. More pictures and details can be provided upon request.
