Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Bandit II. This classic is a great driver car with a big block engine and automatic transmission. All gauges work and the gold snowflake wheels make this car stand out. It has an after market CD player with electric antenna. It has power windows and electric door locks. An electric engine fan has been added to keep it running cooler. According to the build code, the car came with a 301 Turbo. However, the previous owner stated that it has a GM 455. We have been unable to verify either one but are continuing to investigate. The only thing we know for certain us is that the car has a GM V-8 motor. This vehicle turns heads everywhere we go with its muscle car engine and notable road presence. The removable T-Tops are a signature for these classic Trans Ams and so much fun!! When we drive it around town, it always generates compliments and conversation. These driver cars are getting harder to find, especially one that has been loved and cared for like this one. My husband and I have had some work done on it including: New Cooper tiresNew transmission sealsNew valve sealsNew alternator Upgraded (original) console New Trans Am shifter knob (OEM)New door seal plates (OEM)New door lock pull knobs (OEM)New T Top storage bagsUpgraded (original) cigarette lighter **Next project was going to be to replace the weather stripping around t-tops and trunk and so rubber replacement stripping will be included with purchase. It has some nicks and dings that you would expect (see photos) for a driver car. Please note the dash board has bubbled, driver door has chip on edge where it was bumped against a gas pump post, there are a few places where the paint is rough (minor body work may be needed) and the ground effects under the front bumper (at hood release) have some scuffs. Vehicle was purchased from Missouri last summer and we had planned to fully restore it. However, we are starting a family and so this baby has to go so we can afford our new one :-) Please ask any questions in advance of bidding and be advised that all sales are final. Buyer is responsible for pick up/shipping from 28612. $500 PayPal deposit is required immediately after purchase. A Cashier's Check for the remaining balance MUST be received prior to car being released for pick up/shipping to its new home. Thank you for looking!!!On Apr-11-16 at 17:48:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Trunk and floor pans are solid, with new tar paper, insulation, and carpet (including trunk). See additional photos of driver's floor pan with carpet pulled back and trunk pan (with and without carpet). T-top openings are also solid with no rust.
