Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 2007 R1200GSA adventure bike. I have owned this bike since new. I am selling it only because I can no longer ride adventure style bikes after hip two surgeries that makes the risk of falling no longer worth the reward. This has been a great bike- my favorite of the many that I own and ride regularly. Let me say right off the bat- it has been ridden for the purpose in which it was designed. I know many of these GS bikes never see a trail, and are glorified street bikes like the many Range Rovers that people buy and don't go off road with. I did. I have done some phenomenal trips of her- Colorado (17 passes), Utah, Montana, Arizona, and others. This bike was an adventure trip bike for me- I have many others that fulfill my need for day trips and the like. She has performed perfectly, and without any issue whatsoever. And while she is no garage queen, she is in excellent condition and is stored along with my other motorized toys in my climate-controlled machine building 365 days a year when not on a trip. I am a maintenance freak. No question about it. I have every record of everything that I have done to it since new. I am a firm believer that oil changes are the least expensive way to keep vehicles in top shape and running strong for the long term. Add ons- this bike has a ton. Add them all up and it totals some real money that you save by not having to do yourself. Consider this GS a bike that is well thought out in terms of farkles and is absolutely ready to take you anywhere without question. I have ridden her across the country- these GS bikes are surprising good road/highway bikes. Nothing like that boxer engine- it just goes. This model/year bike has had a few recalls- gas tank level sensor, rear wheel flange bolts, electronic security sensor- ALL recalls taken care of by BMW dealer and bike is completely up to date. Full disclosure- the panniers have stickers all over them- you will look like you have been "Round the World". The right side is very slightly dented from a fall over- but they work perfectly, seal correctly and certainly look the adventure part! So, what have I added?Mostly Touratech and Wunderlich products- I have tried to provide pictures of most of the add ons for your viewing pleasureshock splash guard- keeps mud/water from slinging onto the rear shock. Added this at newAdditional engine guards- TouratechGT Moto tool tube- waterproof tube mounted under the rear frame and sits behind the pannier. Waterproof!Touratech tail rackWunderlich swing arm cover platesSpiked swivel foot pegs- better grip than stock2-zone Gerbings heat attenuators- mounted on left side of tank- provides variable heat adjustment to two zones of heated clothesTouratech Engine bottom rock plate and also center stand plate so protection covers entire underneath of bikeBrake caliper protectors for front disc calipersHeadlight swivel mounted rock screenUpgraded head lamp bulbsCee Bailey's larger windscreen and I also have the stock screen in perfect condition (the Cee Baileys is as well) Ball mount with power to Garmin Montana GPS mount. (the GPS is not included) Touratech front brake reservoir and clutch reservoir guardsLeft side sensor coverWunderlich hand guard extenders to provide extra protection/coverage over stock- great for cold weather riding to protect handsKick stand plate that provides wider surface area for dirt etc.Throttle Meister throttle lock for Fred Flintstone-like cruise control. Works in a pinch while you try to do something else with your throttle hand.Centech AP-1 fuse block under seatBattery tender pigtail2- level quick adjust brake pedal (great for when you are standing up off road and don't want to accidentally trail the brake with your foot. Akrapovic exhaust- has a better sound and they say a few more horses- who knows. I also have the stock exhaustHandbar quick adjusters- great for when you are standing up riding you can bring the bars up to a more comfortable settingTouratech windshield adjuster- this wasn't cheap. Allows you to fine tune the angle of the windscreen- great for highway riding to get just the right wind flow over you.
