Vehicle Detail

Not a restored or show car, just a good driver. Not a great paint job. It was nice 8 years ago but since I drive it there are numerous scratches, nicks and dings. A 20 footer. Interior is nice but could use some finishing off. The motor and trans are a 305CI HO with a 700 4R both came out of a 1990 Firebird Formula. I dummied the motor back to Holly 600 carb with an electric choke, The TPI unit I pulled off the motor will go with the car if the new owner wants it. The motor starts and runs great and pulls this 3750 lb car with no problem. It'll spin the tires with ease. The speedometer stopped working 6 months ago and the horn doesn't work everything else works fine and that includes the Vintage Air unit that blows nice cold air. The old gauges were removed and replaced with modern gauges that fit the stock holes. The radio works and is a modern replacement with cassette, AM and FM that fit the stock hole, nothing was cut. The interior came from the Late Great Chevy web site. The mags are American Racing 16"s in a Crager design. Tires are in great shape. The windshield was replaced as well as the vent windows, all the rest are original and are bubbled a yellowing. The front brakes and master cyl have been upgraded to disks and dual power master cylinder. Original rear drums remain. The Vintage Air unit works very well. The electrical system was upgraded to an alternator. The floor pans are repaired and solid but were not done by an expert. The trunk is solid. I have accumulated a bunch of Impala parts thru the years that will go with the car. I have a folder with all of the reciepts for parts I've bought and installed thru the years. The car used to have a tri-power 348 with a powerglide in it. I pulled that motor a couple of years ago when it developed a soft knock. I didn't want to hurt that motor any more than it already was. I still have that motor and trans and the winning bidder can buy it for an additional 2500.00 if they want it. Both were completely rebuilt a few years ago and were still working when I pulled them out. I could mount it and fire it up if someone was really interested in it. It is the original trans but the motor is not a matching number. In person inspections and test drive are encouraged and available with an appointment. Questions are welcome and specific photos are available upon request. Thanks for looking, call me at 202-735-7187 Patrick
