I bought this in 2000 and rode it some the title says it had 11,500 miles on when I purchased, within 2 months of buying this I purchased a 1984 V65 ! so this became a garage queen ! never ridden much, more pleasant to ride than the V65,but I enjoyed the rush so this hasn't much use , just enough to keep it running; it is a very pleasant bike to ride, two years ago I replaced Fork Seals, rear suspension was cleaned, checked, and repacked and the shock seems quite good, it has an overhead oiler kit on it as a precaution but the last time the valves were checked ( 2 years ago) there was no sign of damage, and when I installed the oiler in 2000 there no evidence of damage then either. I am the 3rd owner, the brother of the guy I bought it from, was the original owner and his brother bought it from him, to hold it for him thinking he might want it back, but after several years realized he wasn't going to ride it anymore and sold it to me.
