Description: Corvette. All that you have to say is the word and you have immediate interest and name recognition. No other domestic production vehicle has EVER HAD that kind of impact. Here’s a CLEAN Corvette that has been well cared for over the years. Although this is an older model, it still presents very well. Here’s a clean example for someone to get into the world of Corvettes. As you can see, it presents very well. But, of course, you expect vehicles this nice from Grove Automotive Group, Inc.! Options: Finished in bright red metallic with tan leather upholstery, this CLEAN 1989 Chevrolet Corvette features about everything that you expect in the American Sports Car beginning with the smooth and responsive 5.7 L Small Block Chevrolet-built V8 teamed with a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, automatic climate control featuring a retrofit R134a refrigerant charge, 4-wheel ABS (anti-lock brakes), power windows, central locking system, power mirrors, power seats, factory alloy wheels, factory sound system, 4-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, rear window defroster, driver’s information center, factory security system, and much more! Yet ANOTHER Clean Southern Ride! This vehicle is riding on a good set of Continental® performance tires! Service and Inspection Report: We brought this nice Corvette in for service and found that overall, the car has been taken care of over the years. The prior owner had kept the vehicle very clean and maintained. We checked things under the hood and found that the oil was clean and topped off. It appears that the vehicle has had a recent oil change. Under the hood is the original Tuned Port Injected V8 that Chevrolet dropped in years ago. It definitely runs nice. Checking the climate control, the system had a prior retrofit to R134a. The system was a little low on refrigerant so we decided to go ahead and vacuum the entire system of refrigerant, pull a complete vacuum for about ½ hour, then install a new accumulator/drier unit refilling the system with the correct amount of R134a refrigerant and PAG refrigerant oil. Grove Automotive Group, Inc. does all air conditioning work inhouse and holds a valid certificate with the Mobile Air Conditioning Society, certificate #1001363. The climate control works as designed. While we were servicing the climate control, we looked over the serpentine belt and decided to go ahead and replace that for you, as well. Changing a serpentine belt in a Corvette is difficult due to tight space but we wanted that to be changed before the next owner drove the vehicle. With our Snap-On Solus® scanner, we scanned the vehicle computer systems, the engine and ABS. GM called their engine system Computer Command Control® and we found no codes in that durable system. It is amazing just how much data is in these generation I OBDI systems and they have proven to be very reliable over the years. The ABS system works as designed. We looked at the brakes and found them to be on the low side, both front and rear. We installed new brake pads for you, front and rear. While we were servicing the brakes, we went ahead and did a full brake fluid change using our special tool designed for this task. The tool pulls a vacuum through the brake lines and draws fresh fluid into the system and lines. Keeping the brake fluid clean extends the life of the ABS pump on these vehicles. Being curious, we dropped the pan that holds the spare tire at the rear of the vehicle. While we had it out we cleaned up the wheel assembly and placed the correct air pressure in the temporary spare. We’re not sure it has ever been out of the car. Finishing up, we installed new wiper blades for you. Shop around and then ADD IT UP! Why buy one that needs work? How much will that cost you in addition to the car itself?
