This vehicle has been owned by my family for about the last 5 years. My dad has always had a thing for older SLs and still owns a few other ones. He no longer has the room to keep them all and is starting to sell them. This is a great daily driver. It is not a show winner, however in very good condition. A good vehicle for someone that doesn’t want too many projects and wants a great car to drive around or if you want to turn it into a show winner, you have a good canvas to start with and won’t need much. The car does come with the soft top and hard top. Mechanical The engine starts right up and runs smoothly with no major issues. The transmission also shifts in all gears with no slipping or kicking. Overall mechanically its in good shape and doesn’t need much of anything. Brakes could use some love, brakes fine just needs to be checked. No leaks. Runs and sounds smooth. Exterior The exterior looks good overall but does need some work if you want it to be perfect. We have never had the car painted and has been the same way since we owned it. Normal blemishes and scratches you would expect but nothing major. Interior The interior is in really nice shape with no rips or tears in the leather and the wood grain is in good condition over all.
