1st let me say I'm not a Motorcycle guy. I took this in as partial payment on another vehicle. Tidied up a few issues, changed the oil, and now it needs a new owner. It runs smooth and strong. Starts, runs, goes, and stops as it should. It still had it's original Dunlop tires from 1982 (Dangerous!), so I got 2 really nice take offs from a local motorcycle shop, and had them put on. It needed front brake pads, so I did that too. Plus a couple small items like cracked turn signal lenses, etc that I also replaced with parts from right here on Ebay.Everything works as it should except the turnsignals and the choke cable. I made up a short piece of still wire, formed a ring in the end and attached it to the carb linkage to overcome this. Now you simply reach under the left side of the tank and pull it out, to apply the choke. Perhaps not the way you may have done it, but it works. Bike needs a general cleaning and shining, as I have not attempted it, and have no time for this. Several of my friends who have motorcycles say this is a "100,000 Bike" meaning they feel these Magnas go 100,000 miles plus with no issues. I have no idea and offer no warranty. It seems fine to me, and probably is. They also say that it wouldn't be a bad choice to put a little time in to spruce up, or just "ride the crap out of it everywhere and get 60+ miles per gallon doing it". Well 6th gear is Overdrive, so it probably does get great mileage. Anyhow...that's it. Sold as is, just the way you see it in the photos. Clean Ohio Title, in my name, in hand. Summer is upon us.
