***MORE PICTURES AVAILABLE HERE AT LINK AT THE END OF DESCRIPTION Up for sale is my 1973 Karman Ghia, I hate to get rid of it because it is such a joy to drive on these warm sunny california days, but I have to get rid of some of my toys. Aside from the issues listed in the description, the car runs like a dream. The motor has been rebuilt 5 years ago ( less than 5k miles on it easily ) and I did an oil change, changed the fuel filter, several fuel lines, and performed a valve adjustment about three months ago, it starts up every time and the dual port 1600 is so smooth and sounds extremely healthy. Over the past year I have redone the interior with a new headliner, vintage wooden nardi steering wheel, Wooden shift knob to mach, all new black vinyl door cards, and a short shifter which does wonders compared to the stock shifter. With the exterior of the car, it has been painted red over the original color a long time ago, still shines though I have waxed it recently as well. I keep the car clean always and garaged, it does not see rain which was also the case with the previous owner ( my uncle who owned it for about 5 - 6 years just sitting in his barn ) It has a disc brakes up front and wheels from a porsche 914. My plans were to originally lower the car, but i Love cruising in this thing just as it is. Electrically everything works on the car opposed to the cluster, radio, and horn. I do not know which number owner I am, just that the car prior to being in my uncles possession was not driven at all either. He drove it on the weekends for a year or two and spent most of the time tinkering on the car until he eventually just let it sit for several years. I wouldnt doubt that the car has 50k original miles just due to the condition of the chassis and body. My whole family loves volkswagens, and we have owned buses, bugs, and buggy's as well, but this is literally the cleanest vw anyone in my family has owned as far as rust and aging goes. I will be willing to work with the buyer to ship the car anywhere provided you pay for shipping, if you have any questions at all please feel free to send me a message I am very good about replying fast to anything in this day and age! flickr (DOTCOM) /photos/jamsss/albums/72157664125509683
