1953 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup - complete project. I bought this truck over 30 years ago and my dad drove it daily after he retired for several years. Approximately $4,000.00 in new parts that are either installed on complete chassis, or still in bags and boxes from Obsolete Chevy Parts in Nashville, GA. A complete list with part numbers is inserted below. Everything is here, that we are aware of, for completing the restoration except the cab corner sheet metal pieces. The engine bottom end is solid and the head was rebuilt by Scott's Machine Shop in Fayetteville, GA. It has a 235 cubic inch engine and four speed transmission. Everything is correct for this model year truck. It has the radio delete and all the odds and ends parts plus some extras from a second truck I bought to get the pieces missing from this one. Included is a new chrome grill, new chrome bumpers, all new glass, window rubber, and all the parts listed below. The complete bed is new and in the original shipping crates including the pre-drilled oak floor boards, metal strips, bed sides, front and tailgate. The chrome bumpers are still in original packaging. The radiator is original and the truck hasn't been cut or modified to accept something other than the original. The brake system was completely replaced with all new steel and flexible lines, wheel cylinders and master cylinder but fluid never added. That was several years ago so not sure of the condition of the master or wheel cylinders. There was rust at the passenger door lower hinge and all damaged metal has been removed and all sheet metal panels are here to repair it and the passenger floor as new. New VIN plates are available but that is one thing I haven't bought for the truck. The original is legible but someone hit it with a sander. This is a restoration project started in 2002 and then revived about a year ago. There is no title - it was registered in Georgia by bill of sale. I can assist in locating a shipper, and will work with a shipper to crate and load for shipping if needed. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs if can not pick up locally.
