This vehicle is a factory-original un-restored factory-original 1955 BelAir Neptune Green Shoreline Beige Two Door Hardtop. It is equipped with the original 265 Power Pack, Power-glide transmission that was installed at the factory. Factory installed options are Power Brakes, 265 Power Pack engine, Power Glide Transmission, Tinted Glass, Oil Filter and Heater/Defroster. Original dealer installed option are Outside rear view mirror, Gas Door guard, PB Radio, Tissue Dispenser, Door Edge Guards, Push Button Radio, Floor Mats, License Plate Frames and Locking Gas Cap. History: This 1955 Chevrolet was built on March 28, 1955 at the Chevrolet Assembly Plant located at Janesville, Wisconsin. The original factory build sheet was found under the front carpet. See enclosed photo of original build sheet. In May 1955, it was sold new at Anderson Chevrolet, which was located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. An original Anderson Chevrolet decal is still attached to the inside of the glove-box door.This car’s original owner was an older gentleman who lived in Hastings, Minnesota. He died in 1980 and Gary Roehn from St. Paul, Minnesota purchased this car from his estate. At that time, it had 42,000 actual miles.In 1987, Gary sold this car to Dave Robertson from Superior, Wisconsin. I purchased it in late March 1992. At that time it had traveled 52,000 miles.Currently, original mileage is 56,872. Originality and Condition: Exterior: Sheet Metal and Paint: All Original Neptune Green/Shoreline Beige exterior paint, with the exception of a little repaint work (one foot square) in the back of the passenger door/front of right quarter area. It is my opinion the heads have never been off engine. I am sure the engine has never been out of the car. Rear main seal leaks oil moderatelyCarburetor and PB Booster were recently rebuiltDistributor recently checked out and serviced. Original transmission was resealed and completely rebuilt in 2004. Have receipts to verify expense.The battery is a reproduction Delco Tar Top item with an Optimal dry cell battery inside the vintage battery case. Engine, transmission, generator, starter, carburetor, radiator, water pump, fuel pump, power brake booster, master cylinder, horns, voltage regulator, and wiper motor are same original components that were installed by factory when this car was built.See decode list for details.Top of engine has been repainted and some areas Fan belt, battery, plugs, points, condenser, plug wires, radiator hoses, heater hoses are exact reproductionUndercarriageThere is no rust anywhere. Drive shaft is not even rusty and it is bare steel.Factory inspection marks are visible on differential, drive shaft and front suspension componentsDealer installed under coating that was installed when car was new covers floor pan.Where undercoating is thin, factory red primer is clearly visible.All undercarriage components including shocks are factory original.
