It was purchased from a one owner from Florida and has been on sitting in on a lot, as the seller has moved out of state and must sell to highest bidder. GENERAL CONDITIONThe good: The exterior of the car is in very good condition for its age and mileage with a completely rust free exterior and bottom. The interior is average but smoke free. It is clean but not spot free, from signs on the passenger seats which can mainly be seen in the pictures. Overall the conditional is acceptable, and there are no rips or tears. There was a new battery installed in December. The bad: There is 10% or so left on the tires, so they will need to be replaced soon and is showing some balding which cannot be seen in the photos too well. Since the car has not been run since december, it will likely need a jump start and they had trouble popping the hatch for the engine before taking the photos, but this got resolved. The engine looks clean on the exterior. If you are the winner, bring a pair of pliars just in case it needs a jump start. It needed a jump start a few weeks ago but started just fine after that. It also is somewhat noisy initially when started. The main thing that needs to be checked out is the oil pressure gauge, which comes on after about 10 min of being run. This seems to be a common problem with VW and could be a faulty switch or something more serious. The taureg lot drives, the manual suggests it be taken to a dealer to get checked out immediately, and would recommend that it be towed to get checked out before being driven any further. It has not been driven since it was purchased on auction and was shipped from florida. Since the owner works out of state, the key is being held at Care Auto Auction in Gas City, Indiana, and the car can be viewed during their normal business hours. They are not open on all days of the week, and hold regular hours on Friday and Saturday, and possibly one other day in the week. This means the car can only be picked up on certain days. Then it went to 3 dealers which were listed and the current owner where it was not driven either. The floor mats are not carpeted, but beige matching the tuareg. The drivers seat is more worn than the rest, but does not have any holes or rips but shows more signs of wear.
