Vehicle Detail
Here is a link to my Flickr gallery where I have more photos of the car for a more in depth look! **** https://flic.kr/s/aHskwjjxJJ **** Selling my family's non rusty, straight body, accident free, weekend cruiser Mercedes Benz 280c. A little history on the vehicle, my uncle was the first and original owner for 25 years before it was passed down to his brother and finally me. The vehicle went through a $4k respray with the exact original color almost ten years ago. The four speed automatic is on the steering column, this is not a floor shift 280c! It has right under 75k miles, the car was never really driven on a daily basis. Mostly garaged, which is very evident, the car shines and presents a very classic style whether parked or cruising. We are a family of self mechanics, however my uncle had been restoring most of the car over the past 4 years bushings, mounts, front brakes, various belts, carburetor, and a/c within the past 4 years. It's a very solid and comfortable car, we upgraded the radio and speakers a few years back and added the front bumper mounted fog lights which add to the whole vintage euro style. Aside from the few quirks listed in the conditions ( see condition description ), there isn't much to say, everything else works on the car and works perfectly. I love the look with the fog lights on during sunset/night time. The a/c blows cold rather quickly and the heater is perfect. There aren't any mechanical issues with the car either, the four barrel carburetor has been replaced within the last 4 years as well. It also should be noted that there is 2 boxes full of spare parts such as trims, hubcaps, carbs included in the sale of this car. Most recently, this year we had to replace a powersteering line due to leaking, but I haven't cleaned off the residue left off from before. Right now, I am actually removing and cleaning the carpets and have noticed that above the floor pan there is an extra layer of dynamat for insulation that has been added. The VDO clock in the instrument cluster is original and has been sent out to get repaired so it actually works. I'm going to list the car for $4,600 with no reserve, we just have too many cars at this point that aren't getting driven. This is truly a lovely car, and deserves to be driven more often that I get the chance to. As far as shipping goes for the car, I will not cover shipping costs, but I am more than willing to work with the buyer on getting the car shipped out as soon as possible. If you have any Questions please feel free, I will be checking my messages frequently!
