1976 Mercedes Benz 450SL for sale. This particular car has new $2200 paint on both the body and the hard top. It has new soft top and new tires. The interior is in the condition he purchased the car when he started this restoration. The engine starts but will not continue to run. He spent over $1000 at an independent shop and they replaced some parts but could not fix the problem. After much frustration on his part, the car was returned to storage. We tinkered with it for a while but neither of us could find the problem. It is probably in need of a fuel pump and someone who knows these engines to get it in running order. The car was driven to the paint shop and mechanic, then trailered back to storage. During this time the transmission worked fine. As with all his cars they are stored under cover all year round with separate dust covers in addition to building. I am assisting a friend who has had many of these cars. His health requires him to start to as they say "thin the herd". The tires have less than 50 miles on them, and the paint has never been in the full sunshine. There are no warranties either expressed or implied. This is a great classic that needs just a few things to be back in true form. This vehicle is located 100 miles west of Atlanta within 3 miles of Interstate 85 in Alabama.
