I have owned this bike for almost 15 years and have only started this bike one time. When I purchased this bike , the previous owner told me that he purchased the bike new and put less than 6 hours of ride time on the bike and found that the bike was a little much for him and the bike sat for almost 25 years before i purchased the bike. I found the bike in New Mexico and when I arrived to pick the bike, it was inside the man's house and when you look at the pictures ,you can believe it. The bike has been on display in my showroom for the past 8 years. This is without a doubt the ABSOLUTE CLEANEST ORIGINAL CR250R RED ROCKET, that I have laid my eyes on. Bike starts right up and sounds really good. I do not know of anything wrong with this bike and I am not sure what to say other than just look at the pictures of this beauty. There are spider webs and a little dust but other than that this is a killer little bike. I do not know of anything on this bike that was not factory issued but I am not an expert on these newer MX Bikes, and by NEWER I mean after 1974. I saw a restored one of these go at the Mecum Auction, about 3 weeks ago, for $4750.00 + 10% buyers premium. They are only ORIGINAL ONE TIME but any bike can be restored. It is much more difficult to find an UN-RESTORED ORIGINAL bike in this condition than it is to find a restored bike. I personally like the un-restored original bikes as you can tell from all of the bikes that I am listing from my private collection. It took me more than 30 years to collect all of these bikes and I tried to hold out for the nicest examples of each bike that I was looking for and in this case, I have never seen a nicer original bike. If you need any other pictures, please let me know. I will not build a crate for shipping but you more than welcome to come by and personally inspect this bike before purchase. There will be a $500.00 deposit required within 30 minutes of the end of the auction and then the balance will need to be paid for with Bank Wire of certified check. If a check is used then as soon as the check has cleared, the bike is yours, cash in person works as well. This is an old race bike and I make no claims about the amount of hours that are on this bike, I do not know and will not make any assumptions but the bike is all there and starts. No warrantee on this bike, which I am sure that anyone familiar with these original vintage race bikes understands.
