Vehicle Detail
THIS TRUCK DOES NOT CURRENTLY RUN OR DRIVE! This is an all original 1981 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista. I have a clean Georgia title for this truck. This truck is equipped with a 3.8L 229CI V6 engine and a TH350 automatic 3-speed transmission. I have owned this truck since November of 2014. The truck did run and drive when I purchased it, but it ran and drove very poorly. I began to replace parts under the hood of this El Camino in an attempt to get the engine running correctly, to no avail. Even with the new parts being installed the truck didn't run correctly. The engine is missing its carburetor, distributor cap and rotor, spark plug wires, alternator, starter, battery, battery cables, and A/C compressor. I removed the listed parts because I want to sell this truck but I want to minimize the amount of money that I will lose in doing so. Some of the parts are still available, but they are being sold in addition to the truck and none of the removed parts will be included with the truck unless you're willing to pay extra. The truck has a brand new master cylinder, new brake rotors, and new brake pads. This El Camino is in fair overall condition and it needs some work. The engine needs to be either rebuilt or replaced. The transmission functioned properly the last time I drove the truck. There is some rust in the floor pans. The rear driver's side and rear passenger's side floor pans, as well as the front passenger's side floor pan all need to be replaced. There are no other rust issues with this truck. The steering column needs to be rebuilt or replaced (it was busted open during a theft attempt before I bought the truck). The previous owner sawed off the muffler. The interior is in fair condition. The dash is cracked, the upholstery on the driver's side of the bench seat is ripped, and the carpet is dirty. Also, I removed the driver's side door panel to replace the door latch and I decided to leave the old raggedy door panel off, but it comes with the truck. The wheels that you see in the pictures and the video have been sold. The truck is currently sitting in my garage on jack stands. If you want to buy this truck then please be prepared to haul it away by bringing a set of wheels, a car hauler, and some cash money. The price is non-negotiable! (404) 491-9377
