Here is a rare 1956 Porsche 356A in restorable form with 1957 1600 (616/1) engine and 1959 transmission (late 1958 build). A stalled project from many years ago. Given the rough undercarriage, the upper chassis is in remarkable condition, with a undamaged hood still maintaining its sharp factory gap, unblemished roof and smooth quarters. The parts in the images are all that are with it, including engine, transmission, suspension, some interior parts, extra body parts. Engine number is P 64051 and turns over smoothly by hand. Transmission number is type 128 716/0 and number 25477. The engine, transmission, front suspension and vw wheels have been installed to aid in shipping. Front and rear torsion areas structurally good (see images)- as demonstrated by now rolling chassis. Transmission has been refreshed with new gaskets, bearings, seals etc. Gears left intact and appear in very good condition. Please look through the images here and on the dropbox link closely. Ownership document is a transferable NY registration(In NY at the time this served as title) from 1983, the last time the car was registered. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
